The National Award Presentation ceremony for outstanding business performance in Postal life Insurance (PlI) was held here on Tuesday.
A total of 10 staffs, six agents and three divisions were awarded in the categories of Development Officer (PlI), Field Officer (PlI), GDS employees, Direct Agent and lady Official, etc.
Development Officer (PlI) R Venkadesan of Tamil Nadu Circle got the first position in the Development Officer category where as I Chan Basha and GB Raje secured second and third positions, respectively.
AS Chandran of Tamil Nadu secured first position in the Field Officer category while Alka Mehndiratta of Delhi Circle received the award in lady Official category, among others.
Attending as the chief guest, Secretary to Government of India, Department of Posts, Kavery Banerjee lauded the efforts of the sales force in spreading insurance business to eligible potential customers.
“We would shortly introduce internet and mobile services for the benefits of the customers,” said Banerjee. She also noted that the PlI continues to be popular among its clientele.
Odisha Circle CPMG Tilak De, PlI Chief General Manager Vishvapavan Pati and PlI Member Sanjeev Thapar also spoke, among others.
