The Central Government has decided to set up a Plastic Park in Jagatsinghpur during 2019-20, informed Union Chemicals and
Fertilisers Minister DV Sadanand Gowda in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday.
Gowda said that apart from Jagatsinghpur, three more Plastic Parks would be set up in Tinsukia district in Assam, Raisen district in Madhya Pradesh and Thiruvallur district in Tamil Nadu.
The Union Minister said that as per the guidelines, the State Governments would ensure all approvals including environment clearance.
Gowda further said that in the Plastic Parks, waste management would be undertaken in an innovative manner which would help in keeping the environment clean permanently.
