The State Government on Saturday asked all the district Collectors, SPs and the Revenue Divisional Commissioners to ensure that no National flag made of plastic is used in any manner on the National days in the State.
An official statement issued by the Information and Public Relations Department said the Government asked the officers to adhere to the Odisha High Court’s order and, accordingly, take steps so that not a single national flag made of plastic is displayed on the Independence, Republic and other important days.
The HC has directed that the National flags be made of cotton, wool, silk and paper as per the Indian National Flag Code, 2000.
