The locals of Tarbha in a memorandum to Tarbha police station IIC Surubabu Chhatria sought a probe into nexus between Home Guard Bijaya Sahu with ganja smugglers.
They stated that during the time of controversial IIC Srikanta Kumar Tripathy from March 20, 2014 to July 28, 2017, 48 ganja smuggling cases had been registered at Tarbha police station. In all the cases, home guard Sahu was present.
As per a RTI revelation, in most of the seizures, IIC Tripathy showed Ujir Khan and Nabin Kymar Agrawal as police witnesses. Even when the confiscation was made even 15/20 km away from Tarbha town, these two used to be cited as police witnesses.
