Pradesh Congress Committee OBC Cell chairman Bishnu Charan Barik on Monday distributed the district charges among the cell’s office-bearers to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level.
Distributing the new assignments, Barik said, “During the 13 years of the BJD rule, the people of the Other Backward Classes (OBC) have been neglected continuously.”
While vice-chairman Rabindra Mohan Sahu was assigned the charge of Nayagarh, Phulabani, Ganjam and Gajapati districts, Jagannath Sahu was given the responsibility of Cuttack Town, Kandhamal, Subarnapur. Similarly, Gayadhar Jena was appointed for Jagatsinghpur, Nabarangpur and Malkanagir districts. Biplab Jena was given Puri, Keonjhar and Khurda districts and Kodanda Bhuyan was assigned Mayurbahanja, Jharsuguda and Blaleswar.
While Sanjaya Jena was given Cuttack and Bhadrak districts, convenor Akhaya Bhuinya was assigned Dhenkanal and Anugul districts.
Similarly, Saroj Baral was given the responsibility of Jajpur and Kendrapada districts, Tarun Majhi was appointed for Nuapada Sundargada and Kalahandi districts and Rabi Ray was assigned Rourkela, Koraput and Rayagada.
