The National Human Right Commission (NHRC) has asked the Odisha Chief Secretary to pay monetary relief of Rs1 lakh to the family of deceased Milu Sahoo of Sankulei village of Dhenkanal.
Sahoo died of electrocution on June 19, 2015 due to negligence of the electricity department officials.
The commission also asked the Chief Secretary to send a compliancereport along with the proof of payment by January 25.
Here noteworthy that, Anti Corruption Committee State president Debashisha Hota had alleged that Milu died due to negligence of the electricity officials. Basanti Sahoo, wife of deceased Milu of Tilapada village,
thanked the NHRC and Hota for the order.
