The two-day Paru Panda Memorial State level Boxing Championship concluded, inaugurated by Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Surjya Narayana Patro, at the Brahmapur Stadium on Monday.
Boxers from 14 districts of the state participated. Jitendra Mohanty, Sona Nayak, Rabula Nayak, Anil, G Kartik, Aditya and N Jena bagged gold medal, Asish Panigrahi, Sunil Swain, Tulasi Sethi, Yudhistir, Asish and Rahul Dash bagged silver medals and Bharat Rawat bagged bronze medal in different categories.
Among others, Khallikote Cluster University Vice-Chancellor Amarendra Narayan Mishra, State Congress secretary Bikram Panda, Indian Boxing Federation VP Anil Bahidar, Brahmapur Municipal Corporation Chairman Subash Moharana, Odisha Basketball Association VP Sarat Chandra Mohapatra, Arokhit Panigrahi, Mamata Panda, Ashok Sahu, BMC Mayor K Madhavi were present.
