Paradip’s prominent labor leader and social activist Santosh Kumar Patnaik has now been given the responsibility of regional development along with his BJD secretary post by party president and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Santosh Patnaik has expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chief Minister for giving him the new responsibility. "I will abide by the party's ideology and help the poor and needy people of the Paradip constituency and the Paradip Port area in the coming days," he said.
Several local leaders including Ranjan Palei, general secretary, East India Oil Refinery Workers’ Union; Mihir Kant Sahu, secretary, Dam Damihara Farmers' Association, Paradip Port Malik Sangh secretary Ranjit Behera, Paradip Port Merchants’ Association secretary Debabrata Sahu, Paradip Port Land Loser Farmers’ Association secretary Ratnakar Jena also thanked BJD supremo Naveen Patnaik for the confidence reposed on Santosh Patnaik.
