Burglars decamped with a huge cache of valuables, cash and electronic articles worth lakhs of rupees from the house of an Assistant Commissioner of Central Excise and Customs Department on June 14.
Assistant Commissioner KT Parasar lodged an FIR in his regard. The stolen articles included three laptops, mobile phones, cash of Rs5,000 and gold jewelleries. Notably, Jagatsinghpur SP Sudha Singh’s husband, an IRS officer, is a close friend of Parasar. The loot took place at Parasar’s official residence in Madhuban area. Meanwhile, police arrested two culprits and seized two laptops.
