The Paradip Book Fair 2016 was inaugurated here by local MlA and Excise and Cooperation Minister Dr Damodar Rout.
Sambad editor Saumya Ranjan Pattanaik, who was a guest, spoke about the importance of book fairs and urged Odias to love their language and State.
Paradip Municipality Chairman Basanta Kumar Biswal and Biju Memorial Trust vice-president Sumanta Kumar Biswal were special invitees on the occasion.
The book fair will continue till April 24. About a hundred book publishers and sellers have opened their stalls at the venue of the fair, the Jayadev Sadan.
This annual book fair is organised by the Biju Pattanaik Memorial Trust and the Jagannath lalita Kala Sansad of Paradip Port Trust.
