Vigilance police on Monday arrested Bargarh district’s Padampur police station ASI Aswini Kumar Khamari on the charge of demanding and accepting bribe of `3,000 from a person to issue a copy of his uncle’s postmortem report.
Acting on a complaint of Jogeswar Sahu of Narasinghpur (Jhankarpali), the Vigilance police laid a trap and caught Khamari red handed while taking the bribe money from Sahu at the police station. “Padampur PS ASI Khamari has been arrested and would be forwarded to court soon.
