The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the State Assembly on Tuesday reprimanded the General Administration (GD) Department for improper maintenance of its accounts. The committee, at a meeting presided over by its Chairman and leader of Opposition Narasingh Mishra at the Assembly here, came down heavily on the GA Department while reviewing the CAG report of 2005-06. The PAC criticised the department for not maintaining its accounts properly as stated by the CAG in its report.
