The BJP on Friday demanded that the State Government oust Sam Pitroda from its IT Advisor post in view of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) appointing him as chairman of its Overseas Committee.
“A triangular relationship between Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Sam Pitroda and Congress president Sonia Gandhi has been established in view of Pitroda’s continuation as the Odisha Government’s IT Advisor after his appointment as the AICC Overseas Committee chairman. People of the State are suffering a lot as the main Opposition Congress and the ruling BJD have become closer. Hence Pitroda should be ousted from his post,” demanded BJP spokesperson Sajjan Sharma at a Press conference here.
He said the Chief Minister’s claim of maintain equidistance from the BJP and the Congress is not correct at all.
“The BJD maintains ‘zero’ distance from the Congress and Sam Pitroda acts a link between them,” Sharma alleged and wanted to know why Pitroda is still enjoying Cabinet status by continuing as IT Advisor to the State Government.
