In another step towards ‘ease of doing business’ in the State, Chief Secretary AP Padhi along with Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan launched a mobile app for online tracking of the status of the applications submitted to the Odisha State Pollution Control Board (OSPCB) by various industries and startups.
OSPCB Member Secretary Rajiv Kumar briefed the features of the mobile app. Padhi advised to develop the mobile app further for facilitating online payment of fees.
Kumar said applicant industries and general people can view firm status (pollution related) through the system. The app can be accessed by any android mobile, smart phone and tablets. This app has been developed under Online Consent Monitoring and & Management System with the name OR-OCMMS.
OSPCB Engineer Nihar Ranjan Sahoo said the mobile needs to be installed in the android mobile downloadable from Google Play Store free of cost.
The status of the applications can be accessed or tracked using the industry Id, industry name or the name of the district in which industry is located.
The mobile app would make the consent management system quicker and transparent.
