A major corporate house in eastern India, the Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL) has decided to distribute one lakh masks free of cost among people.
This is in response to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s call for a 14-day ‘Mask Abhiyan’ to keep Covid-19 at bay. OSL chairman Mahima Mishra distributed masks among public for creating awareness on use of masks in pandemic. He said OSL aims to distribute one lakh masks among the poor and needy in this fortnight-long drive. In a special programme organised in front of OSL Corporate Office here on Monday, Mishra launched the drive by distributing masks to common men and women.
OSL directors Chandan Mishra, Charchit Mishra and Chinmaya Mishra were present.
The OSL Group is also going to hold a two-day corporate vaccination programme in which 260 OSL staffs will be vaccinated. The Group conducted RT-PCR test of 217 staffs recently. Chairman Mahimananda Mishra said OSL Group is fully committed for cause of State and, accordingly, extending its support to the Chief Minister’s ‘Mask Abhiyan’.
“We started this drive in Cuttack and will distribute masks in other OSL operation area across India. We appeal to all corporates to extend their support in this period of Covid crisis.”
