Odisha State Human Rights Commission (OHRC) Chairman Justice BK Mishra along with Puri district Collector Arvind Agarwal, ADM BB Das and Sub-Ccollector Madhusudan Das made a surprise visit to the Puri District Headquarters Hospital here on Saturday.
Justice Mishra’s visit reportedly followed complaints he received about various lapses in the hospital. According to sources, he came across several irregularities in the functioning of the hospital during his on-the-spot visit.
Going round different wards in the hospital, Justice Mishra made queries to patients about the problems they were facing. He also wanted to know from the doctors about the problems he saw in the hospital. He directed the district Collector to solve the problems at the earliest.
