later, a four-member team led by party State chief Rabi Behera met Chief Secretary GC Pati and submitted a memorandum to him. The other demands include provision of land Patta for 9.47 lakh landless families, including Dalits, tribals and slum dwellers and repeal of the land Encroachment Ordinance-2015.
The Chief Secretary assured the activists that steps are afoot to provide homestead land to the landless while the other demands would be taken care of by the Government.
Many biggies, including politicians, Judges, IAS and IPS officers, are involved in the BDA, CDA land scam while many officers and politicians of the then BJP-BJD Government has taken the Co-operative Housing Corporation land meant for poor people under low cost housing scheme, alleged Behera.
