Inaugurating the online recruitment system of Constables at the State Secretariat here on Monday, Chief Secretary Aditys Prasad Padhi said the process would make the recruitment process simpler, faster and more correct.
Answering queries of mediapersons, Home Secretary Asit Tripathy said the online system has been produced by the Centre for Modernising Government Initiative (CMGI) through a Common Application Portal (CAP).
The CAP was mainly produced for providing basic services. For the first time, this is being used for recruitment of 9- Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) Constables. If found successful then the CAP would be used for recruitment of other posts, said Tripathy.
DGP Kanwar Brijesh Singh said every year there is recruitment for some posts or the other in the police. This online system would be very much helpful.
Additional DGP B Radika said applications through the portal would be accepted till January 4. For 9-IRB, 521 Constables would be recruited. The candidates can send applications through www lockseba-Odisha.in). The candidates would be provided information through SMS and e-pass.
