A worker died in a mishap occurred at Bhushan steel plant located at Thelkoli under Rengali tehsil in Sambalpur district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Prasanna Sandha of Bhuban in Dhenkanal district. He was working as conveyor belt operator.
Sources said he was killed after being crushed by the moving conveyor belt. Police recovered the body and sent it to Burla hospital for autopsy.
Security has been beefed up in and around the plant to avoid untoward incident as the plant had witnessed law and order situation earlier over death of labourers and its staff.
