A minor girl was killed and three others of her family sustained critical injuries after a boundary wall of their collapsed at Nargachi Sahi area in Jeypore on Tuesday.
The injured are undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital. The incident left locals panic-stricken.
According to reports, the ill-fated family of Nargachi Sahi in the area was busy in their daily chores at home on Tuesday afternoon when a wall collapsed suddenly with a loud sound. Unaware of the approaching danger, four of the family, including a child, came under the debris. While the child died on the spot, three others sustained grievous injuries in the mishap.
The police reached at the spot and rescued the injured from under the debris and shifted all the three injured to the hospital.
