Even the Kendrapara Ranger did not escape from the mob fury. The locals also punctured a forest jeep and also destroyed a private Bolero jeep hired by a forest team to nab the boar.

The boar was hiding in a bush at Saharpur village near Chakroda lock, when the forest team of Kendrapara range along with a forest protection squad rushed to the spot with net and fire crackers. They were trying to nab and cage the boar when the latter came out and pounced on a person. The Sadar police reached the spot, dispersed the mob and rescued the forest team.
