Odishi dance lovers and connoisseurs in Bangalore will have a visual treat at the sixth edition of the annual Odishi dance festival Naman scheduled to be held in the city on August 2.
The dance show, organised every year by Bangalore-based Odishi dance institution Nrityantar, is an initiative to bring together and showcase varied styles and schools of the classical dance form.
An array of finest artistes will enthrall the audience with their performances. The Suravi Odishi Dance Ensemble under Guru Pitambar Biswal will showcase the beauty of Guru Debaprasad style of Odishi. The finale will have a visual spectacle by internationally-acclaimed Srjan Odishi Dance Ensemble from Bhubaneswar under the direction of Guru Ratikant Mohapatra.
