Odia IAS officer of Tamil Nadu cadre Shaktikant Das would be included in the team of budget preparation of the Modi Government. After PK Mishra, Das will be the second Odia IAS officer to work in the Central power corridor.
Das, now working as Secretary of Chemicals and Fertilisers at the Centre, would be the new Revenue Secretary in the Union Government replacing Rajiv Takru. He might join in his new office on Monday, sources said.
The 1980-batch IAS officer had already worked for five years in the Finance Ministry and was the Joint Secretary at the Budget Division of the Department of Economic Affairs. The experienced officer would take a key role in preparation of the Union Budget, sources added.
