An Odia labourer working in a factory in Rajkot in Gujarat who was seriously injured in a mishap succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.
He was identified as Chintamani Sahu of Tinkbir village under Reamal Tehsil of Deogarh district. He had gone to work in Rajkot two months ago.
Sources said on February 20, Chintamani had sustained severe burn injuries after boiling water from the plant fell on him allegedly due to a breach in a tank in the plant. He had been rushed to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. Chintamani’s family has sought intervention of the district administration in the matter.
