The Odisha Administrative Service (OAS) Association on Friday appealed to all its members to contribute one day’s salary to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund for relief, restoration and reconstruction work in the cyclone and subsequent flash floods-affected areas.
“Severe cyclone Phailin followed by unprecedented floods has shaken several districts causing severe damages to private and public properties. The relief, restoration and reconstruction work are now a stupendous task involving large amounts of resources. We urge all our members to contribute one day’s salary towards restoration work,” said association president Nirmal Chandra Mishra. The association too appreciated the untiring efforts by OAS officers in carrying out evacuation, relief and restoration.
