A tribal organisation, Paschim Odisha Adivasi Kalyan Sangha, has demanded arrest of four persons, against whom an FIR has been lodged by tribal leader and Khariar block Chairman Balkrishna Sabar.
Sangha general secretary Niranjan Bishi, in a memorandum to the Nuapada SP has warned that if the accused persons are not arrested immediately, the Sangha would resort to a mass tribal agitation on October 28.
“We would not be held responsible in case of any law and order situation," Bishi stated.
It is learnt that Sabar had filled an FIR on August 30 against one Premsagar Meher and three other persons alleging that they had humiliated him in public.
Meanwhile, twenty members of the Khariar Panchayat Samiti have submitted a resolution to the Nuapada Sub-Collector to bring a no-confidence motion against the Chairman.
