The Nuapada-Gariabandh Divisional Committee of the Maoists released an audio tape on Friday, declaring observation of 9th foundation day of the Communist Party of India (CPI-Ml) on Saturday.
“The CPI-Ml was founded on September 21, 2004 and in memory of that we are going to observe the 9th foundation day from September 21 to 27 to remember sacrifice or 12,000 martyrs who have gave up their lives for strengthening Marxism, leninsm and Maoism in our country,” spokesperson of the committee Budhuram Paharia stated.
“We appeal the farmers, workers, students, intellectuals and common people of Nuapada and Gariabandh districts to hoist red flag on the occasion to observe the day,” Budhuram said.
The release also mentioned that the party was strongly opposed to the strategic and planned deployment of force starting from Nuapada to Sinapali.
“We appeal the people of these two districts to oppose the green haunt operation, which is harassing the poor tribals in the name of haunting Maoists,” the release said.
