Bijayalaxmi Marandi, CDPO, ICDS Project, Sinapalli block in Nuapada district, was arrested by the Vigilance police for accepting bribe of Rs10,000 on Thursday.
She had demanded the bribe from Draupadi Sahu, president of Maa Tareni SHG, Mandiarucha, Sinapalli, for passing SHG’s bill of two months amounting to Rs4 lakh.
Bijayalaxmi Marandi was caught by Vigilance officers in her residential Government quarter at Sinapalli after she accepted the bribe from Sahu.
