First of all, the students while pursuing their studies will also work for the society with police and also will learn discipline from the senior officers with them.

Secondly, it will also ease out staff crunch problem of the Police department, said Sambalpur SP Sanjiv Arora while giving preliminary introduction about the new programme in the district.

The RDC (ND) who was chief guest of the function highly appreciated the move taken up by the local police in collaboration with students.

“This will teach sense of duty and responsibility to the students who will enter in various other professions soon. At the same time, it will make them eligible to earn some money and thereby make them understand the value of earning during student life,” Swami said.

Notably, each student will get Rs 100 in a day for a duty period of three hours. Uniforms, shoes and badges were distributed among the selected candidates.
