Despite the Union Budget for 2022-23 being a massive one (Rs 39.45 lakh crore), there is not a single rupee for promotion of scientific temper and removal of blind beliefs that continue to create an atmosphere of hatred among caste and rituals communities, said the Freethought Party of India (FPI).
It is a matter of sadness that in 2022 there are political parties in India like the RJD, SP, BJD etc. demanding caste census even though Baba Saheb Dr BR Ambedkar gave his historic call for annihilation of caste in his book under the same caption way back in 1936, it said.
The FPI demanded Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and PM Narendra Modi to make special allocation of funds for the removal of blind beliefs.
"It is quite pathetic that for political reasons, that is, all political parties are promoting blind beliefs in the name of culture and in the name of religion. The Government of India should come forward to remove all blind beliefs so that no religious congregation of Sadhus would ever give a call for extermination of the Muslim Community, that is murdering about 19 crore Indians," said a release by the party.
FPI general secretary B Ramchandra CST Voltaire said it is shameful that such a matter has gone to the Supreme Court and the Government of India has taken the reverse point of view, that is, Hindu Phobia by Muslims to the doors of the UN
He added that sufficient funds must be allocated for opening of priestless love marriage offices at the Panchayat level in rural India and at the Ward level in Urban India.
If the Prime Minister of India is really interested to take the people of India into the “Amrit Kaal” (Golden Age) then he should come forward to decry the Hindu caste system because every Indian village is still rotting as a mini-Sourth Africa of the Apartheid days. That we are having SC, ST and OBC constituencies even after 75 years of Independence speaks volumes of our dishonest commitment to the philosophy of life that is designed under Article.14 (Right to Equality) of the Constitution of India, he said further.
