Assam Governor JB Patnaik said Thursday he is not resigning from his post.
“How many times have I to say that I am not resigningIJ” Patnaik, who is a former Odisha Chief Minister, told the media after meeting Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi.
The comments followed speculations that the Home Ministry has urged some Governors appointed by the previous Congress-led UPA Government to quit.
On Tuesday, Uttar Pradesh Governor Bl had Joshi resigned.
“I did not have any talks about resigning. The meeting with the Home Minister was not on this issue,” Patnaik said.
