The process of nominations for the Odisha Media Award (OMA) has begun since Thursday last. The OMA is a new attempt that intends to facilitate media coverage of people’s causes by recognising and encouraging journalists and other mediapersons of the State whose works help highlight and champion causes of people while passing relevant information for people’s empowerment.
A board of jury comprising members from all walks of life would evaluate the submissions thoroughly and decide the works on basis of their relevance for the ordinary man to be highlighted and awarded. The nominations would be closed on February 28. The details about the OMA can be availed from www.odishamediaaward.in.
