A woman travelling all the way from Noida staged a dharna in front of her boyfriend’s house at Sasan village of Gadapada panchayat under Rupsa police limits on Tuesday alleging she was sexually exploited by the latter on the pretext of marriage. She also lodged an FIR. SDPO Jalandhar Jali said that she called off her agitation after assurance.
According to reports, the victim, a native of Hooghly district of Bengal came in contact with accused Biswajit Biswal of Sasan village four years ago where they were working in a Noida-based private company. Their closeness turned physical and they were living in a live-in relationship.
According to the complainant ,a few days ago , Biswajit faking some emergencies in his home returned to Odisha. Further he ignored her calls. She, further could learn that his marriage was fixed with someone else. Feeling she was ditched by the accused, she rushed from Noida to Rupsa to stop his boy friend’s marriage. She initially appealed to the family members of Biswajit and when they didn’t pay any heed, she embarked on dharana and then lodged a complaint with police.
