Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi on Monday fumed at the State Government for not following protocol to accord reception to Union Home Minister Amit Shah on his arrival at the State capital on Sunday night.
She said that shockingly, neither Minister of State for Home nor Home Secretary nor DGP was present to receive him at the airport. “Was it indifference or on purpose,” questioned she.
Sarangi wrote a letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik in this regard, pointing out that a huge number of people was there to welcome Shah and express their gratefulness towards him for his visit to the State.
She said it is surprising that the State Government behaves in such a callous manner and hoped that such behaviour should not be repeated.
