Vacating the stay it had granted on the implementation of Odisha Excise Policy-2015-16, the Orissa High Court on Thursday disposed of all the petitions challenging the Policy but not before scrapping clause 4.2.2 of the policy which aimed at converting all beer parlours into IMFl “on” shops.
A Division Bench of Justices Indrajit Mahanti and DP Choudhury, in its final orders on a batch of petitions challenging the Excise Policy on various grounds, vacated the stay it had granted in May this year.
