Koraput district Collector V Jayakumar on Tuesday said media reports of his asking Government employees under him and the general public to come to the Collectorate wearing plain and sober-looking dress and not jeans are baseless.
“I have not issued such a direction at all. If I had issued a notice in this regard, it would certainly have my signature and put in the office notice-board. Somebody pasted the notice to blame me,” said Jayakumar.
He sought cooperation from his staff, people and media for smooth implementation of Government programmes and plans.
