A Gram Rojgar Sevak (GRS) under Nuagaon block of Sundargarh was arrested by Rourkela Vigilance on Saturday evening allegedly for regularities in the IAY . He had recommended to make payment to three beneficiaries even if they had not constructed house under the scheme.
The arrested was identified as Silanand Dang(35), a resident of Karddega, who works as GRS of Kardega panchayat under Nuagaon block. A team of Rourkela Vigilance headed by DSP Dilip Kumar Kar found three beneficiaries who had got Rs 75,000 each between 2013-14 and 2014-15 to construct house but they did not construct house on their plot.
The beneficiaries were Sahadev Mirdha, a resident of Sahilata village, Parvati Mirdha, a resident of Kardega and Etwa lamga, a resident of Banoba. It was found that GRS Silanand Dang had recommended in due stages for their payment regarding construction of house.
