The Odisha Bhumihina Praja Samiti has decided to take out a rally and forcefully occupy about 2.70 acre land belonging to the Soil Conservation Department near Rengali Sahi in Kamakhyanagar and then use a multi storied building situated in it as Samiti’s office, its president Debashisha Hota said.
Here noteworthy that, during discussion of Collector Roopa Roshan Sahoo with Hota on December 15, Sahoo told that Kamakhyanagar Sub-Collector Sri Kalpataru Behera was not obeying her repeated orders to carry out eviction from the land. Notably, allegedly former BJD district youth president of Dhenkanal and former chairman of Kamakhyanagar NAC Jashobanta Parida has occupied the land with support of Kamakhyanagar MlA and Steel and Mines Minister Prafulla Mallick. Parida has constructed the multi storied building on it by misusing Government machineries which has also been clearly reflected in the ruling of Orissa High Court in October.
Hota questioned why the Kamakhyanagar Sub Collector was not taken to task for neither obeying the HC order nor the Collector’s. Hota said that the Samiti will be compelled to reoccupy the land after failing to get justice from several quarters. He warned that the Government and Chief Minister will be responsible if any law and order situation arises on the day.
