The Navnirmana Krushak Sangathan (NKS) will join other farmer organisations to hold a nationwide ‘Chakaband’ agitation on Thursday in protest against the “anti-farmer” laws and skyrocketing of prices of essential commodities.
NKS State coordinator Sheshadeba Nanda said the NKS would press for payment of compensation of Rs 15,000 for loss of crops on a acre of land due to floods, cyclone and drought.
The organisation would make people aware how the “anti-farmer” and “pro-corporate” laws enacted by the Modi Government has caused steep rise in prices of essential commodities and this would cause starvation deaths in coming days.
