The circulation of a tablet with manufacturing year of 2016 is on in the market. The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Monday sought an action-taken report from the Centre over manufacturing and marketing of the medicine in the country.
The post dated medicine tablet FlAME with Ibuprofen, paracetamol and caffeine composition is found in different parts of the country with manufacturing date of April 2016. The expiry date is March 2018. The tablets were manufactured by Vishal Pharmaceuticals laboratories of Indore in Madhya Pradesh and supplied to the different medicine wholesalers and retailers throughout the country.
Akhand, a human rights activist from the Civil Society Forum on Human Rights (CSFHR), has filed a petition before the apex rights panel demanding inquiry into the incident and necessary steps against the manufacturer.
