The National Federation of Postal Employees (NFPE) Odisha State Coordination Committee led by its chairman Bruhaspati Samal held the Protest Day on Monday in front of all offices.
The National Joint Council of Action comprising Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers, Railway Federations, Defence Federations etc had given the call for a protest demonstration on February 1 across the country. The NFPE is a major constituent of Confederation of Central Government Employees and Workers. The members protested the apathy of the Central Government of not honouring the assurances given on revision of minimum wage; denial of Dearness Allowance/Relief to employees and pensioners; denial of pension to the employees even after collecting contribution from them and privatisation of public sector and Government run organisations.
