After five showrooms in the State, the Khimji Jewellers, Odisha's largest jewellery chain, is all set to open its sixth grand showroom at Sano Bazaar in the Silk City of Brahmapur on Friday.

Spread across 7,500 square feet, the beautifully-done showroom has a wide range of diamond and silver jewellery besides, corporate gifting items, exclusive watches of international brands like Rado, Tissot, Seiko, Citizen and Emprio Armani apart from the large variety of BIS certified gold jewellery.

"We have made our maiden entry into the southern Odisha jewellery market with the opening of Khimji Jewellers in Brahmapur. This would be the largest showroom of exquisite jewellery products in the city having the biggest collection of gold, diamonds, silver jewellery and watches under one roof. We would also bring Khimji's trademark of honesty and transparency”, said Khimji director Mitesh Khimji at a Press meet held here on Wednesday.

Every piece of gold jewellery sold from this outlet would be 100 per cent BIS hallmarked and all diamond jewellery items would be 100 per cent IGI certified, Mitesh added.

As a step forward towards transparency, he said, the making charges at Khimji Jewellers are not linked to gold price and not calculated as a percentage of gold price. On the contrary, charging of wastage (or VA), which is a percentage of gold price, as making charge is a practice quite prevalent now-a-days with many jewellers, he added.

Mitesh also said, “We follow the system of fixed making charge per gram which is not linked to the gold price. So when gold price rises our making charge remains stable."
