The Universal Neighbourhood Day was celebrated for a second time in Bhadrak town on Sunday. last year, the celebration was started at the Dagamunda leprosy Colony with an aim of recognising the importance of neighbourhood.
The organisers said the role of neighbours is always important in life. The world is busy in celebrating various days at different places. However, there is no time in human life today to appreciate the role of neighbours.
Founder of the day social activist and lawyer Radhakanta Tripathy along with many volunteers went to the Nua Adivasi Colony under Geltua gram panchayat to share laughs and grief and celebrate the day with the villagers. Hundreds of poor tribal villagers joined the celebration. Among others, Sombari Munda, Raibari Munda and Ramsingh were present.
