As the nation celebrates "Swarnim Vijay Varsh" this year to commemorate the 50th glorious year of victory of the 1971 Indo-Pak War, the Indian Navy under the aegis of Eastern Naval Command (ENC) will conduct a Day-at-Sea off Paradip on December 22.
The MLAs will witness the maritime operations of the Indian Navy during the programme under strict Covid-19 protocols.
The event is very significant, as it would provide the MLAs with a unique first-hand insight and deep exposure into the maritime affairs and coastal security of the country. It would also provide them with a glimpse into the various maritime operations of the Indian Navy. This would equip them to appreciate the challenges in the maritime domain and influence policy in the best interests of the country and specifically the coastal States including Odisha.
The Indian Navy ships of the Eastern Fleet will be participating in the naval exercise.
