Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik emphasised on knowledge sharing between development planners and context specialists while launching the logo of the Odisha Knowledge Hub lecture series at the State Secretariat on Thursday.
“Odisha has to overcome certain unique challenges which are historic and inherent. Development planners and administrators have to approach these challenges with open mind, and find creative, innovative, inclusive and sustainable solutions,” he added.
“My Government has been making all efforts to ensure that these twin objectives are achieved through initiatives that are custom-built to suit our socio-economic eco-system,” he added.
The lecture series organised by Planning and Coordination Department intends to invite personalities like Raghuram Rajan, Subroto Bagchi, Devi Shetty, Ramakanta Panda, Nandan Nilekani, Narayan Murthy, Ajim Premji and other eminent persons.
The first lecture of the series was addressed by Dr Nachiketa Mor on “Transforming Financial & Healthcare Delivery Services in India” on Friday.
The lecture series will facilitate to develop a system of receiving concurrent feedback, counter view and course correction. It will help create a listening space for development planners and executors.
Among others, Finance Minister Pradip Kumar Amat, Planning Board Advisor RN Das, Chief Secretary AP Padhi and Development Commissioner R Balakrishnan were present.
