Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday left for New Delhi on a three-day visit. He is scheduled to attend a meeting of Chief Ministers of 10 Leftwing Extremist-affected States on Sunday at 10 am in the national capital to be held at the Vigyan Bhavan under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

Along with the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mahapatra and DGP Abhay would also attend the meeting.“I am leaving for Delhi to attend the meeting called by the Union Home Minister on LWE. Besides, I’ll follow up important projects of the State,” Patnaik said. As Odisha has performed fairly well in containing Maoist activities and pursued development projects in the concerned districts, the Centre might give pat to the State Government.
