Sukinda Chatshali teacher of Kantira village in Sukinda in Jajpur district Nanda Kishore Prusti has brought glory to the district and the State.
Prusti, popularly called “Nanda Sir”, who has been teaching children in the village for free, has been awarded the Padma Shri.
He thanked Sukinda soil after accepting the award from President Ram Nath Kovind in New Delhi on Tuesday.
Former Odisha Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadai wished Nanda Sir a long healthy life. Congratulatory messages are being sent to Nanda Sir from various institutions and individuals in Jajpur district and the State including Sukinda MLA Pratiranjan Ghadai and writer Taraprasad Mishra.
