The National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) clocked a net profit of Rs.240 crore for the 3rd quarter ended December 2020.
The net profit has jumped by 123% over the previous quarter, which was Rs 107 crore. On the sales front, the net sales of alumina hydrate for Q3 was 3.44 lakh tonnes compared to 3.33 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period of last year.
Aluminium export also registered an impressive growth with sales volume of 1.38 lakh tonnes during the first nine months of FY21compared to 0.50 lakh tonnes in the same period of FY20.
Nalco CMD Sridhar Patra said, “Nalco has shown overall growth and resilience to script a turnaround after the peak period of Covd-19 outbreak.”
