In view of the lockdown, the State Government on Tuesday extended the grace period for vehicle owners of stage and contract carriages to pay motor vehicle (MV) tax and additional tax for the month of July.
A Commerce and Transport Department notification said the grace period for July has been extended up to July 31.
Similarly, the grace period for vehicle owners to pay MV tax/ additional tax of goods carriages for the quarter April-June, 2020 has been extended till July 15. Earlier, the Government had extended the grace period to June 30 for the vehicle owners to pay the taxes following a slowdown in the VAHAN server.
