The OAS Officers’ Association of the district held a meeting at Khariar on Friday under the chairmanship of Nuapada ADM Trilochan Minz to discuss about the issue of murder attempt on Khariar BDO Narayan Chandra Naik.
“District OAS officers have decided to go on for pen down strike if the culprits of the attempt are nor arrested by the police within three days,” said Minz. Naik had lodged an FIR alleging that Zilla Parishad member Ajaya Dharua along with another person had attempted to kill him in the block premises on Wednesday. The staffs of the block were on strike from Thursday demanding immediate action against the accused persons.
The association has also demanded security in the block premises along with installation of CCTV camera.
A memorandum in this regard was submitted to the Nuapada SP in the Khariar Police Station.
“Police team has already been formed to catch the culprit and force would be posted soon in the block premises to provide security, said the SP.
